MALAYSIA DAYBOOK: Factory Output, Mah Sing, Proton, Tradewinds

Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Factory output growth likely slowed
to 2.2 percent in October after increasing 4.9 percent in
September, according to the median estimate of 17 economists in
a Bloomberg News survey. The government is expected to release
industrial production data at 12:01 p.m. local time.

EQUITY MOVERS:
* George Kent (GKEN MK): 3Q net 4.6m ringgit vs 3.6m ringgit
* Kumpulan Jetson (KJB MK): Unit wins 29.2m ringgit building
sub-contract
* Mah Sing (MSGB MK): Plans rights issue with free warrants to
raise 400m ringgit for future expansion, 1-for-5 bonus issue
* MNRB (MNRB MK): Issues 120m ringgit of Islamic bonds under
program, draws down 200m ringgit from revolving credit
facility to complete planned debt repayment
* Tradewinds Corp. (TWC MK): To lease Malay reserved land in
Kedah for 65m ringgit

WHAT TO WATCH:
* 9:45am: DRB-Hicom's Proton to announce acquisition of assets
and technology from Petronas Technology Ventures

MARKETS:
* Malaysia's FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index rose 0.9%
* The MSCI Asia Pacific Index increased 0.1%
* The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.3%
* Palm oil Feb-delivery futures advanced 0.7%
